Is there any built in software or command to restore Toshiba Satellite L305D – S5882 to box State?

I’m having problem with my Toshiba Laptop and I want it to be restored in box state but I don’t have any restore with me.
I have a different toshiba model and was able to find the command to restore it in box state.
Maybe Toshiba Satellite L305D – S58832 also have this features but just have another command for restoration.

I own a Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook and it is not functioning properly. How do I restore it to factory setting

I think i have seen “Dell splash screen” with a red bar at the bottom. I tried pushing ctrl + F11 at the same time, and nothing happened.

Most laptops will come with a recovery disk. It will restore your laptop to it’s original setup from the time it shipped. This is providing that the issue is Windows and not hardware related.
Locate the CD and place it in the CD tray. Restart the laptop, and is should boot from the CD which is setup to walk you through the recovery processes. Let us know if this works.

laptod mod?

ok i have three laptops… and only two hdd’s the first laptop is an old toshiba satillite from 95 it is a Toshiba Satellite 100CS. This one works but the screen is broken… I have an older dell… Dell Latitude CPI, It would work but i dont have a hdd or hdd, caddy. My last laptop is a Compaq, armada it is a COMPAQ ARMADA E500. This one has a hdd, but it is complaning that it is on cable select… and some times it wont even read the hdd… i cant get it to boot up… i have swiched the toshiba hdd and the compaq hdd, and still had no luck…. is there any one who can tell me how to fix the compaq or how to combine the toshiba and the dell so i can have a toshiba with a dell screen… i have tryed to put the delll screen in the toshiba but it did not work the dell was to big… oh and i cant go buy a new one or a used one… or a new or used hdd… i have no money. thanks…

Hey, no money? No problem. The answer is right here!
First: You should know that “cable select” is the standard for almost all brands of laptop IDE drives. When it you get the cable select message are you able to see or boot up to the drive? Maybe format it with a floppy and then install an Operating System?
Second: I had that Toshiba and guess what, the screen broke. I gave it to a friend last week and he found the same laptop with no memory or HDD on EBay for $40.00 with a good screen. He loves the laptop. If you truly have NO money take the largest, newest of the 2 Hard Drives and put it in the Dell. It may be slow but the fix is free. You may need a header fo the HDD which is a small adapter that changes the 40 pin on the drive to a card edge for the laptop. Also, if you cant afford the HDD tray, rig something up with cardboard and tape to fill the space between the HDD and the enclosure walls. It may not look pretty but I’ll bet you can get a working laptop with what you have. Alternatively, have you tried using a regular monitor with the Toshiba external VGA port on the back. It makes for a fair Desktop that way.

I have a blue and white 2-pin cord coming from my compaq 300w Power Supply, what is it for?

It is plugged into my motherboard. I want to buy a better one but they do not have that blue and white cord.
There already is a 20-pin and a 4-pin plugged into the motherboard.

If it’s not hooked up I wouldnt worry about it. If I remember right Intel motherboards use one type of plug and AMD use a different type.

How do I clean the INSIDE of my Sony Vaio LCD Monitor?

Rather clumsily, I spilled coffee on my Sony Vaio VGN-FW21M laptop. The only casualty is a stain on the inside of the monitor in the bottom left corner. I can still see through it, though it’s rather annoying. Any clever solutions out there?
