Creating an External BD-Burner/player from an internal drive?
I plan on converting an internal Blu-Ray Drive to an External Drive for use on my TV. I am planning on using a SATA to USB cord to go into the laptop, and then from my laptop to my tv via USB to HDMI. My questions is will the signal have to go through my video card? My video card does not support HD and would therefore be going from HD to non-HD back to HD thus being normal quality on the TV.
Also, is there anything else i would have to take into consideration?

Thinking of getting it but it’s a lot of money to waste on something that I won’t be able to connect and have to go out and get the connecting wires myself.
Got one a few months back. Works great. Use it daily. Have moved it between several PCs without any trouble – including older USB 1.1 units. Also works through both powered and unpowered USB hubs.
